Pee Pee – Associating Words With Actions

Since I’ve been able to hold Ean with one arm, I’ve occasionally taken him with me to the toilet and while I water the world I kept repeating “pee pee”, for him to associate. Now he does this hilarious thing when we go to shower, he opens the toilet lid and pees, on the floor of course… Haha! Time to start potty training this little monster.

I was expecting him to walk earlier and wanted to wait with the potty training till then for obvious reasons but since he understands the correlation of toilet and pee, we might as well start.

I’ll be honest, I’m not big on reading. I do love to talk though, so reading to my son seemed like a lot of fun. I have a long list of things I want to experience with him, but my wife who is a big fan of reading would love it, so I got it for her, in Spanish.

It’s a book about a boy who has lost his name and he goes on this big adventure to find it again. The cool thing is that the boy is named Ean, you see where I’m going with this right?

There’s a website called Lost My Name that uses the name of your choice as the lead character in a great story that takes them on a grand adventure. It’s a great idea for a personalised and unique gift and most certainly it’s intriguing for your child to realise the book is “about him”. Continue reading
